Addressing Traveler Needs in Mobility and Accessibility

According to data reported by Global Economics of Disability in 2020, people and families impacted by disabilities spend $120 Billion annually on travel. Yet, this group of travelers has historically been underrepresented and underserved by the tourism community. In this session, we will learn key insights on motivation, perceptions and travel booking behaviors of travelers with mobility impairment from a recent study conducted by MMGY Travel Intelligence. And, we will engage in a discussion about how destination organizations can embrace these communities at both the city and state level.
