Since joining Los Angeles Tourism in 2006, Bill Karz has led the organization's digital efforts in quadrupling website traffic and setting industry records for social media. Los Angeles was the first U.S. city tourism board to reach one million followers on Instagram, Facebook and Weibo individually. Recognized by such publications as Travel + Leisure and the Webby Awards for excellence in social media and web design, Los Angeles Tourism has received several accolades. Bill now also oversees branding for the tourism board and helped lead the development of LA Tourism’s new logo and brand campaign. Prior to joining the tourism board, Bill was a travel writer and contributing editor to a major U.S. newspaper.
