Treon Glenn is the senior director of government relations for U.S. Travel Association. Glenn focuses on issues related to federal appropriations, tax policy and infrastructure.

Prior to joining U.S. Travel, Glenn served in the U.S. Senate for over 10 years in several different capacities. Most recently, Glenn was a legislative assistant in Sen. Bill Nelson’s office, advising on matters related to financial services, international trade, tax policy, housing policy, economic development and privacy. Glenn notably worked on legislation aimed at preserving Florida’s citrus industry, helping small businesses deal with toxic algal blooms and preventing tax-related identity theft.

Glenn also served as a policy adviser to the Senate Special Committee on Aging from 2013-2015. Glenn assisted the chairman in identifying and investigating emerging trends, issues and concerns affecting older Americans, and developed nearly a dozen hearings on retirement security, financial services, consumer scams and other matters.

Prior to his time on Capitol Hill, Glenn was employed by the Associated Press from 2006-2008 as an executive assistant.

Glenn holds a master’s degree in public administration from Norwich University in Vermont and a bachelor’s in legal studies from the University of Wisconsin.
