Wendy Kheel is acknowledged for expertise in tourism research, data, trends and marketing strategy and for presentations at a wide range of travel industry conferences and seminars.

She joined Tourism Economics in the role of Client Manager, focusing on supporting new and existing Symphony clients. Symphony is a customizable market intelligence platform designed to help DMOs leapfrog the drudgery of processing myriad data sources to achieve a noble (and attainable) objective: make data sing.

As Vice President of Tourism Insights for the Los Angeles Tourism and Convention Board, she oversaw global research and data analysis enabling the organization and its stakeholders to formulate fact-based business decisions.

Prior to LA Tourism, she was Director, Consumer Insights at Universal Studios Hollywood, Director of Market Research at Walt Disney Imagineering, and Senior Manager at two hospitality-industry consulting firms; Laventhol & Horwath, and PKF Consulting (now CBRE).

She is a two-term Travel and Tourism Research Association board member and has served on the advisory research committees for Visit California, the US Travel Association, and Brand USA. She is currently a board member of CalTravel and the Greater Western Travel and Tourism Research Association.

She has a Masters of Hotel Administration from Cornell University, an MBA from the University of Miami, and a Bachelor of Speech from Northwestern University.

A former New Yorker, Wendy has lived in Los Angeles over 30 years making her a native. She shares her home with two retired greyhounds. Wendy has traveled to all but four US states and 46 countries with at least 20 more on her bucket list.
