Aimee Misako Gabel is the Senior Vice President of Events and Education at U.S. Travel, where she plays a pivotal role in shaping and transforming the organization's signature events, including U.S. Travel's IPW, ESTO, Summer Summit, and Future of Travel Mobility. In this newly created position, Aimee is also responsible for delivering new offerings aligned with U.S. Travel's strategic priorities, strengthening the value provided to its members and the industry at large.

With an extensive background in event innovation and execution, Aimee has a proven track record of success. She previously served as the Chief Experience Officer at RE+, the largest and fastest-growing renewable energy event in North America. Under her leadership, RE+ experienced exponential growth, quadrupling in size over a ten-year period. Her deep connection to the travel industry is demonstrated by her involvement on advisory boards for the Los Angeles Tourism and Convention Board, the City of Philadelphia, and the Kay Bailey Hutchison Convention Center in Dallas.

Aimee's 25-year career in associations has seen her embrace a wide variety of roles, including organization strategy consultant, adult-education expert, human and organization development specialist, board relations advisor, meeting planner, partnership experience enthusiast, program content developer, proactive problem-solver, and marketing strategist. Her diverse skill set and passion for teamwork and innovation make her an invaluable asset to any organization.

Aimee holds a Master's degree from the American University / NTL Institute for Applied Behavioral Science and a degree from Colorado College. She resides in the Washington, DC area with her partner, four children, and a lively assortment of animals. In her personal time, Aimee enjoys Pina Coladas and getting caught in the rain, reflecting her vibrant and adventurous spirit.
