Kimberly McFarland

Kimberly McFarland is an award-winning producer and digital project manager specializing in multimedia storytelling. She currently leads special projects at Smithsonian Media’s Custom Content Studio developing bespoke campaigns for advertisers on a wide variety of topics, including travel, science and history. Kimberly’s multidisciplinary focus has allowed her to flourish in a variety of spaces, from writing and reporting on broadcast media to strategic content development and co-teaching youth documentary filmmaking. Her work has garnered accolades including the TIVA Peer Awards and the Webby’s.
