His background as a former collegiate and professional athlete, coupled with experience in the hospitality industry, gives him a unique and well-rounded perspective within the Destination Marketing Organization.

A proud Arizona native, Lance is driven by a commitment to elevate Mesa’s profile through increased room night bookings and impactful economic contributions—all while maintaining a strong focus on community engagement. He serves on several boards and associations that bridge sports and community needs, including Arizona Disabled Sports, the Mesa for All Foundation, the Sports Philanthropy Network, and the Sports ETA Mentor Community.

Lance is also a frequent guest lecturer in Sports Business, Sports Marketing, and Tourism at Grand Canyon University, where he shares his industry insights with the next generation of professionals. Known for his competitive spirit and collaborative approach, he actively partners with fellow Arizona destinations, CVBs, DMOs, and sports organizations to position Arizona as the premier sports destination in the nation.
