Lauren Bennett McGinty

Lauren Bennett McGinty was appointed as the Executive Director of Explore Minnesota by Governor Tim Walz in November 2021. Recognized as one of Minnesota’s Top 100 People to Know in 2021 by Twin Cities Business Magazine and named to the Minneapolis St. Paul Business Journal 40 under 40 list in 2025, Lauren has developed considerable expertise as a strategic and dedicated advocate for Minnesota.

Throughout her career, Lauren has held various leadership positions in marketing, communications, project management, operations, and strategic planning. Prior to her current role, she served as the Executive Director of the Minnesota Craft Brewers Guild, where she successfully drove membership growth and contributed to the visibility of Minnesota’s craft beer industry.
