Maleena Deer

Maleena Deer is the Tourism Manager for Discover Salt River and leads the tourism division for the Salt River Pima-Maricopa Indian Community (SRPMIC). An Arizona State University alumni, Maleena oversees the marketing and partnership efforts of Discover Salt River and the Talking Stick Entertainment District. As a member of the Salt River Pima-Maricopa Indian Community, she is passionate about carrying on the tradition of hospitality through tourism. With over 8 years of experience in tourism, sales, and marketing, Maleena excels in community engagement and fostering meaningful partnerships. She is dedicated to finding innovative solutions that bridge gaps and create positive change within communities. In her current role, Maleena oversees strategic marketing, community outreach, and tourism initiatives that enhance economic growth for the community. Her leadership and organizational skills are complemented by a deep commitment to preserving tradition and promoting long-term impact through her work.
