Timothy Bush
Timothy Bush serves as the Chief Marketing Officer at Visit Lake Charles, where he oversees destination marketing, brand management, communications, research and data intelligence, creative services, websites, social media, and advertising for the community's $800 million visitor economy.
An award-winning marketer, Bush has led his team to state, regional and national recognition, including multiple Gold ADDY Awards, Gold Telly Awards, Hospitality Sales and Marketing Association International (HSMAI) Bronze Adrian Awards, Louisiana Travel Association Louey Awards, and Southeast Tourism Society Shining Example Award. Under his leadership, Visit Lake Charles was named a 2024 ESTO finalist in the digital and social campaign category.
He brings extensive experience from previous roles with tourism agencies across the southeastern United States, including Chief Tourism Development Officer at OneSpartanburg, Inc., Marketing Manager at Visit Macon, and President and CEO of Louisiana's Cajun Bayou Tourism. Throughout his career, Bush has demonstrated expertise in data-driven marketing strategies, brand development, and stakeholder engagement that drives measurable tourism growth.
In 2024, he was appointed secretary of the board of directors for the Southeast Tourism Society, a regional trade association representing 13 Southern states and the District of Columbia. Bush is also actively involved with Destinations International, where he co-chaired the Equity, Diversity & Inclusion Committee from 2022-2024, and serves on the Louisiana Travel Association Board of Directors as Chair of the DEI Task Force & Workforce Development.
