Dalaney Thomas

Dalaney Thomas is the Director of Tourism within the Arkansas Department of Parks, Heritage and Tourism. Before being named Tourism Director, Thomas was already a champion for Arkansas’ tourism industry and the outdoor economy. She has more than nine years of destination marketing experience, previously serving as a Senior Account Manager for Arkansas Tourism and Oaklawn at a Little Rock-based advertising agency. She has managed the creation and implementation of innovative creative campaigns, paid media strategies, nationwide public relations endeavors, social media content strategies, partnerships, and cooperative initiatives. In this role, she also managed the state’s COVID business recovery campaign in coordination with the Governor’s Office.
