Lorne Edwards

Lorne Edwards is Chief Sales Officer at Visit Phoenix, leading the strategic vision for convention sales, destination services, and leisure travel. Since joining Visit Phoenix in 2013, he has held progressive leadership roles including Senior Vice President of Sales & Services, Vice President of Sales, and Director of Sales.

Before joining Visit Phoenix, Edwards spent over 16 years in sales leadership with Hyatt Hotels Corporation across Boston, Denver, Atlanta, and Orlando. Widely recognized for his strategic insight and industry expertise, he is a subject matter expert in destination competitiveness, sales innovation, and aligning tourism with growth sectors such as healthcare, STEM, and sustainability. His global perspective shapes his client-focused, results-driven approach.

Edwards serves as Co-Chair of Destinations International’s Large Market Roundtable and sits on the University of Arizona Health Sciences Community Council, helping position Phoenix as a hub for healthcare, advanced technologies and STEM related conferences. He is an active member of ASAE, MPI, and PCMA.

A native of Antigua, West Indies, Edwards holds a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration and Hospitality Management from the University of Central Florida. Outside of work, he enjoys time with his four children, traveling, reading, music, podcasts, and soccer.
