Mike Mangeot

Mike Mangeot serves as the Commissioner of the Kentucky Department of Tourism, overseeing marketing & development of the state as a travel destination. This is his second tenure as Commissioner after previously leading the state to record levels of visitation and economic impact.

Mike brings extensive tourism and economic development experience to the position. Besides being Commissioner, Mike has served as President & CEO of the Kentucky Association for Economic Development and was the Executive Director of the Bardstown Nelson County Tourism Commission where his marketing efforts were recognized by the US Travel Association with a Destiny Award.

Mike is the immediate Past Chair for Travel South USA, current Vice-Chair of the National Council of State Travel Directors and was recently named to the board of directors of Brand USA, the official destination marketing organization for the United States. He also serves on the boards for US Travel Association, Southeast Tourism Society, and Kentucky Travel Industry Association.
