Wesley Lucas

Wesley found her passion for travel and tourism at a young age. Right out of high school, she interned with the Abilene Convention & Visitors Bureau, discovering her calling in sharing her hometown and its stories with visitors. Since then, Wesley has shared her skills and passion across Texas, having worked with Visit Lubbock, the Grapevine CVB, Visit Frisco, and now Visit Austin. Wesley is a graduate of Texas Tech University, where she earned a Bachelor of Arts in Public Relations.

In her current role as Director of Communications at Visit Austin, Wesley oversees various communications projects, including key messaging, media outreach, familiarization tours, press releases, announcements, and events. She also collaborates closely with the marketing team to boost brand awareness, perception, engagement, and impressions.

Recognized by her industry peers, Wesley's achievements include being named one of Destination's International 30 Under 30 (2017), Visit Frisco's Employee of the Year (2020), and Visit Austin's Rockstar of the Year (2023). She currently serves on the Texas Association of Convention & Visitors Bureaus Board of Directors (2024 - present) and the Texas Tech University College of Media & Communications National Advisory Board (2025 - present).
